Trojan Cease Fire

Las Vegas Review Journal:

The Las Vegas Black Panther Party announced its reactivation Tuesday and proposed holding a summit for gang members and others in West Las Vegas to broker a cease-fire among the area’s gangs.

The local Black Panthers had been inactive for years, but growing gang violence in black neighborhoods has spurred the group into action, Chairman Ron Current said.

Current’s group and the Nation of Islam are holding two events next month to address the problems.

Cease-fires are not uncommon among rival gangs. In 1992, the local Bloods and Crips gangs held to a cease-fire for about six months after Los Angeles police were found innocent in the Rodney King beating case.

All of this is proof that so-called “cease fires” among black drug gangs do not have bona fide motivations.  They are not engaging in a “cease fire” (inasmuch as one really lasts that long) because they truly want a genuine but temporary lack of violence.  They are only doing so because some external event (read:  Rodney King verdict), or some external group(s) (read:  NBPP and NOI) provokes them to aim their ire and violence against their common enemy, white people and society.

Then again, did you think that anything from groups called “Black Panther” (their 1960s namesake published and distributed children’s coloring books glorifying the assassination of white police officers by handgun-wielding black children, “The Pig is afraid of black children because they are brave warriors” — Source, St. Louis Globe Democrat, 1969), and “Nation of Islam” (i.e. white people were created by black scientists in a test tube, their “creation” turned Frankenstein, but the spaceships orbiting Earth 40 miles above the ground will soon land to save the Black Master Race), would contribute to the cause of domestic tranquility?
