The NAACP, the Illinois State Police and local law enforcement agencies will team up with the St. Louis Regional Crimestoppers to combat violent crime in the metro-east.
The 6 PM News on KSDK-NBC-5 showed Johnny Scott (mentioned in the BND article) saying that East St. Louis is not the center of all crime, that it’s really a regional problem.
He is right. Crime does happen outside of East St. Louis. There seems to be a lot of it in North St. Louis City, North St. Louis County, parts of South St. Louis City, and in Belleville. It really is a regional problem.
