What’s Wrong With This Picture?

28 02 2007

The following is a screenshot from a public service TV ad seen on Missouri TV stations, that was produced by the Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety, which evidently is an umbrella ad hoc group for the State Department of Transportation, the State Highway Patrol, and various county and local level law enforcement agencies.

During this point in the TV ads, the black cop here that pulled over the young white motorist is saying that cops all over the state are cracking down on seat belt violators in order to save lives.

Good, BUT…

Seat belt violations are still a secondary factor in this state, rather than a primary one, meaning that a cop can only cite you for seat belt violations if he has probable cause to pull you over for something he can (a primary factor), and if he catches you with no belts, then he can write you that ticket. He cannot pull you over for apparent seat belt violations alone.

There is a push during Missouri’s current legislative session to make it a primary factor. But there is one big roadblock in the way, and that roadblock is ironic considering this screenshot.

The roadblock is that black state legislators fear that white cops will use this as another tool to profile young black motorists.

Don’t believe everything you see on TV.

Fraud Like an Eagle

Give ole baldy here his due — He knows fraudulence when he sees it

The Blotter by ABC:

Authorities say they have shut down an underground printing operation in New York City that was producing thousands of high-quality counterfeit U.S. postage stamps.

And who’s responsible?

Authorities arrested and charged two individuals, Hector Silvestre and Magaly Pichado, with felony counts of forgery of a government instrument and possession of a forgery device.

They’re only here to do the counterfeiting that Americans won’t do.

And how were they found out?

Authorities say the quality of the counterfeit stamps was excellent and that they were destined to be sold at cut rates on the Internet or at small grocery stores in New York.

(snip)

Tom Boyle, Assistant Inspector in Charge of the New York office of the USPIS, said the investigation into counterfeit stamps was triggered after postal inspectors discovered that hundreds of letters were being rejected for delivery because the stamps lacked the required phosphor tagging. Boyle said the investigation has revealed that counterfeit stamps “are a growing, nationwide problem.”

And thanks to many other certain Federal employees and their open borders mania, it’s going to do nothing but grow.

Wouldn’t you be just a little bit suspicious of stamps that went for reduced rates and sold at small (probably ethnic) grocery stores and over websites? C’mon people. Common sense. Caveat emptor.

Monett, Missouri Becoming Hispanic

28 02 2007

P-D:

A former Columbia minister was sentenced to 14 years in prison after admitting he had sex with a 15-year-old girl who attended his church.

Roberto Edgar Lopez, 37, of Monett, was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty to second-degree statutory sodomy and second-degree statutory rape. He was sentenced to consecutive seven-year sentences.

(snip)

Lopez was minister of Iglesia Metodista Unida Hispana, a Spanish-language ministry supported by Fairview United Methodist Church. Lopez was transferred to Monett last summer to start a Spanish-language United Methodist church there.

Monett is like many other towns not named Branson in southwest Missouri, in that their agricultural processing plants, and their proprietors’ lust for cheap labor, is a magnet for Hispanic resettlement. Monett has a dairy processing plant.

Milton Friedman Warned Us

28 02 2007

If any of you are aghast at the story about certain Seattle area elementary schools banning Legos because they don’t like the evil connotations of private property that lego structures imply, don’t forget that the late Milton Friedman once said that public schools will inevitably teach economic socialism as a fundamental tenet, because public schools are a result of economic socialism, and they, like any other institution that expects to survive, are true to their principles.

“L.A. Weekly” Tabloid Makes a Shocking Discovery

28 02 2007

Hold on to your hat, and sit down:

As a place is more and more populated with Mexicans and Latin Americans, the more the place will take on the negative features of Mexican and Latin American culture.

I disagree with the implications of the title of this article, “The Town The Law Forgot.”  It implies that some evil force that runs “the law” is deliberately ignoring Cudahy, California out of racial bigotry.  The real story is that law enforcement isn’t allowed to enforce the law in Cudahy, due to Federal Civil Rights laws.  Further Federal prohibitions on police chases and racial profiling will only make the problem worse.

Less Pollution for London

28 02 2007

AP:

London announces plan to cut emissions

The mayor of London on Tuesday announced the city’s first comprehensive plan to cut carbon emissions, stressing that global warming must be tackled locally.

Does this mean that “Red” Ken Livingstone is going to resign? That would help solve a lot of London’s hot air problems.

Dropouts of a Different Sort

28 02 2007

Reuters:

High school students in the United States say they are bored in class and many have considered dropping out, according to a new survey.

(snip)

“I think what is happening is students are not being involved in interactive ways in the teaching and learning,” Ethan Yazzie-Mintz, project director of the university’s Center for Evaluation Policy, said in an interview.

Instead of providing lectures, Yazzie-Mintz said teachers should consider other methods of teaching such as discussion and debate and group projects.

Yazzie-Mintz said teaching style, rather than class size, is largely responsible for this problem.

Public education has been dumbed down to almost the lowest common denominator for racial reasons. Tracking is gone because (surprise) too many dark-looking pupils end up in the slower gradations, and, save exceptional cases, “mainstreaming” forces borderline retarded pupils into mainline classrooms. Of course smart kids are going to get bored with the elementary school tripe that passes for secondary school public education these days.

Only One Kind of Abuse Is Really Abuse

28 02 2007

AP:

Lawmakers outraged by allegations of sexual abuse of juvenile inmates and a coverup within the Texas Youth Commission promised to hold officials accountable and hinted they might try to take over the troubled agency.

(snip)

A Texas Rangers investigation in 2005 found that the prison’s assistant superintendent and the school’s principal had repeated sexual contact with inmates. Neither of the investigations have resulted in criminal charges, though Whitmire said a special prosecutor is on the case. The officials allegedly involved resigned in 2005.

But what about inmates that abuse other inmates, especially non-white inmates doing the abusing, and white inmates being abused? That’s probably not on their radar screen.

The Senate panel is considering legislation that would create an independent investigator and increase youth corrections staff and training. It also would prevent the agency from housing inmates as young as 11 with inmates in their late teens and early 20s.

If age discrimination for the safety of inmates is okay, then what about racial separation?

No Help There

28 02 2007

AP:

The Roman Catholic Diocese of San Diego filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection a few hours before it was to go to trial Wednesday in the first of more than 140 lawsuits accusing priests of sexual abuse.

Gee, Cardinal Mahony, I thought all these Mexicans were going to save the Catholic Church. Looks like they didn’t save the San Diego diocese.

Amnesty Through Language

28 02 2007

If the plutocracy can’t get amnesty for i******l a****s as such through the political process, they’ll get it through the English language:

A state legislator whose district is home to thousands of Caribbean immigrants wants to ban the term “illegal alien” from the state’s official documents.

“I personally find the word ‘alien’ offensive when applied to individuals, especially to children,” said Sen. Frederica Wilson, D-Miami. “An alien to me is someone from out of space.”

She has introduced a bill providing that: “A state agency or official may not use the term ‘illegal alien’ in an official document of the state.” There would be no penalty for using the words.

Similarly, the dominant culture has made obsolete the words “bachelor,” “sodomy,” and “aborticide” for political reasons.

I Have a Long Memory

28 02 2007

WND has this article today about the glee of the left-wingers that resurgent Taliban elements tried to assassinate Vice-President Dick Cheney while he visited Afghanistan, and they also were sad that they did not succeed.

Remember, when G. Gordon Liddy said in the mid-1990s that he used photos of President Bill Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton for target practice, these same left-wingers went crazy in outrage.

What’s In A Name? A Clue

28 02 2007

The Blotter by ABC:

The shocking death of a 15-year-old boy from an overdose of “cheese,” an amalgam of heroin and Tylenol PM, has brought local, state and federal agencies together in an investigation to find out who is supplying Dallas children with the heroin.

Oscar Gutierrez, who died the night of Feb. 18, was an eighth grader at Marsh Middle School. Police say his brother, who tried in vain to wake him the next morning, said Gutierrez had overdosed on “cheese” once before.

(snip)

“The recent death generated a rally of parents and drug enforcement authorities to try to find a solution to this overwhelming situation,” says Michelle Hemm, who treats children and adolescents for “cheese” addiction at the Dallas Phoenix House drug rehabilitation center.

Hello.  The name of the victim gives a clue to both the fundamental problem and its solution.

You’re Smarter Than A 5th Grader

28 02 2007

Last night was the premiere of the Fox prime time game show “Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?,” seen locally on KTVI-Fox-2. You have probably seen ads for it by now if you didn’t see it last night, so you already know the premise.

While it was comical to see adults fumble with simple questions, and the first contestant was a forty-something with a degree in American History from UCLA who couldn’t answer “Andrew Johnson” to the question “Who was the first American President to be impeached?,” I don’t agree with the basic premise here. Actually, the whole show reminds me of a longer version of Jay Leno’s “Jaywalking” segments.

Just because men and women in their 40s can’t keep up with 11-year olds on questions of rote memorization of facts that 11-year olds experience five days a week for 40 weeks of a year, giving the kids an unfair advantage, doesn’t mean that they’re not far more worthy than 11-year olds. If my life depended on choosing between the average 40-year old and a very smart 11-year old, I would take the 40-year old. Until you have the experience of actually living those number of years, you can’t realize how much it’s worth for society.

Comparing rote memorization to experience is apples and oranges. This is why I don’t buy this show seriously.

UPDATE 3/2:  I think we’ve been had with this show.

Milk, It Did Early Europeans Good

28 02 2007

Diekenes’ Anthropology Blog:

The first direct evidence that early Europeans were unable to digest milk has been found by scientists at UCL (University College London) and Mainz University.

In a study, published in the journal ‘PNAS’, the team shows that the gene that controls our ability to digest milk was missing from Neolithic skeletons dating to between 5840 and 5000 BC. However, through exposure to milk, lactose tolerance evolved extremely rapidly, in evolutionary terms. Today, it is present in over ninety per cent of the population of northern Europe and is also found in some African and Middle Eastern populations but is missing from the majority of the adult population globally.

Dr Mark Thomas, UCL Biology, said: “The ability to drink milk is the most advantageous trait that’s evolved in Europeans in the recent past. Without the enzyme lactase, drinking milk in adulthood causes bloating and diarrhoea. Although the benefits of milk tolerance are not fully understood yet, they probably include: the continuous supply of milk compared to the boom and bust of seasonal crops; its nourishing qualities; and the fact that it’s uncontaminated by parasites, unlike stream water, making it a safer drink. All in all, the ability to drink milk gave some early Europeans a big survival advantage.”

(snip)

“This is just one part of the picture researchers are gathering about lactose tolerance and the origins of Europeans. Next on the list is why there is such disparity in lactose tolerance between populations. It’s striking, for example, that today around eighty per cent of southern Europeans cannot tolerate lactose even though the first dairy farmers in Europe probably lived in those areas. Through computer simulations and DNA testing we are beginning to get glimpses of the bigger early European picture.”

The article has the answer to that question. The growing season was, and continues to be, shorter in northern Europe, so people living in northern Europe had to rely on milk, which as the article states, has a constant and dependable supply, in contrast to typical crops.

Blasphemy

27 02 2007

AP:

Today’s college students are more narcissistic and self-centered than their predecessors, according to a comprehensive new study by five psychologists who worry that the trend could be harmful to personal relationships and American society.

“We need to stop endlessly repeating ‘You’re special’ and having children repeat that back,” said the study’s lead author, Professor Jean Twenge of San Diego State University. “Kids are self-centered enough already.”

Miss Twenge has just blasphemed a sacred tenet of the Great American public school system. She should be ready for the NEA to blast her as a right-wing extremist.

Here We Go Again

27 02 2007

KSDK:

A grand jury declined to issue an indictment in the 1955 slaying of black Chicago teenager Emmett Till, who was kidnapped from his uncle’s home in the Mississippi Delta and shot to death after whistling at a white woman.

The grand jury in Leflore County wrapped up its work this past week and issued a “no bill” against Carolyn Bryant, the widow of one of two white men originally acquitted of Till’s death. A “no bill” means the grand jury found insufficient evidence existed for an indictment on a criminal charge.

Documents made public Tuesday show prosecutors sought a manslaughter charge.

The only way Carolyn Bryant could have faced any charges if there was any hint that there was concrete evidence that she instructed or prodded her husband and J.W. Milam into murdering Emmett Till. Leflore County being virtually all black, and therefore the county’s justice system being so, I take the (black) grand jury’s refusal to do so as evidence that there’s not even as much as a hint of this.

The only other possibility to get charges against Mrs. Bryant was that the prosecutors could show that, based on the history of race relations and the sensitivity that Mississippi whites had toward black men making passes at white women, and the consequences for black men that did so, that her telling her husband that Emmett Till wolf-whisted at her was tantamount to her condemning him to death, and that she knew full well what would happen to Till if she told her husband about the incident. Similarly, an Illinois jury convicted former World Church of the Creator leader Matt Hale of murder conspiracy charges several years ago — while Hale never came out and ordered or suggested that the late Federal district judge Joan Lefkow should be assassinated, (and her eventual death by murder had nothing to do with Hale or the WCOTC, it stemmed from a disgruntled party in a divorce case from Wisconsin, a case that she handled and resolved in a manner none to the liking of this person), prosecutors were able to convince a jury beyond a reasonable doubt that what Hale did say to his cohorts was the functional equivalent of issuing an assassination order against her, considering the concrete history of extreme right-wing individuals and personalities and their violence against magistrates. I bet the Leflore County prosecutors made this sort of case, but the black grand jury didn’t buy it.

The FBI reopened the case in 2004 but decided in 2006 not to press charges.

Because of ex post facto, there was no Federal law that existed in 1955 that they could have used to press any charges against anyone. This FBI “investigation,” therefore, was a foregone conclusion from the start, and everyone knew it. The only reason it went forward was to pander to black politicians.

Simeon Wright, 64, who was in the store that day with Emmett and heard the infamous wolf-whistle, got the news from the FBI shortly before heading to the Argo Temple Church of God in Christ near Chicago for his regular Tuesday morning prayers.

What was the FBI’s formal involvement in a Leflore County, Miss. grand jury deliberation? It should be zero, but because of the racial nature of this case, they’ll be out there to show off.

He said the grand jury’s failure to return an indictment did not surprise him.

“You’re looking at Mississippi,” he told The Associated Press. “I guess it’s about the same way it was 50 years ago. We had overwhelming evidence, and they came back with the same decision. Some of the people haven’t changed from 50 years ago. Same attitude. The evidence speaks for itself.”

Except that this was black Leflore County, meaning a black grand jury.

Where Would He Get Crazy Ideas Like These?

27 02 2007

San Francisco Chronicle:

A San Francisco weekly newspaper that bills itself as “The Voice of Asian America” is facing harsh criticism from that very community for publishing a column Friday titled “Why I Hate Blacks.”

In the column, AsianWeek regular contributor Kenneth Eng listed “reasons” to discriminate against African Americans. The piece has been pulled from the newspaper’s Web site, but the print edition of the free paper, owned by the politically influential Fang family, was still available in news racks Monday.

(snip)

Eng’s “reasons” for hating black people include:

– “Blacks hate us. Every Asian who has ever come across them knows that they take almost every opportunity to hurl racist remarks at us.”

– “Contrary to media depictions, I would argue that blacks are weak-willed. They are the only race that has been enslaved for 300 years.”

– “Blacks are easy to coerce. This is proven by the fact that so many of them, including the Rev. Al Sharpton, tend to be Christians.”

(snip)

Other AsianWeek columns of Eng’s — including “Proof That Whites Inherently Hate Us” and “Why I Hate Asians” — have resulted in criticism. In the first, he complained about the scarcity of Asian heroes in the media. In the second, he described Asian Americans as apathetic, brown-nosing and lacking in cultural pride.

Why no MSM outrage about his previous swipes against whites? They only raise a fuss when he “insults” Negroes. Had he not used the word “hate,” then I can’t see anything in the snips here from his article that aren’t true generalizations about blacks.

Probably Not Terrorism

27 02 2007

P-D:

A terrorism threat at the University of Missouri at Rolla led to the arrest early today of a foreign graduate student at the engineering school.

At a press conference at 8:40 a.m. this morning, Rolla Police Chief Mark A. Kearse and Rolla Mayor William Jenks III said that although the investigation was continuing, they believed that the incident boiled down to a student’s being distraught and depressed.

The reason why I think that it is not terrorism is because this student specifically threatened terrorism. If s/she wanted to pull off a real terrorist act, s/he would have just done it and not alluded to terrorism until after the fact.

This Might Be Self-Defense

27 02 2007

P-D:

One teenager was killed and a second was injured Monday after a mother and son opened fire on a group of youths who had come to their home looking for a fight.

Witnesses estimated the size of the group of young men at between 12 and 30. They came to the family’s house in the 1100 block of Prigge Avenue, near Larimore Road in the Spanish Lake area, to challenge a 16-year-old boy to a fight just after 3 p.m., authorities said.

The disagreement had begun at Hazelwood East High School, police and witnesses said.

The crowd called for the boy to come outside and fight, according to authorities and witnesses. The boy’s older brother, 18, showed up at the door with a baseball bat, but the group of teens continued calling for their target to appear. They pelted the house with rolled-up newspapers and rocks.

There’s no telling what this mob of between 12 and 30 young Negroes would have done to them or their house had they actually stormed the edifice. This sounds to me like self-defense. Or mother and son were victorious in the battle to hold Prigge hill.

UPDATE 3:25 PM: From the P-D:

Hazelwood School Superintendent Chris Wright said today that district officials had no indication that trouble was brewing before Monday’s fatal incident in which one teen was killed and a second was injured in Spanish Lake.

(snip)

Wright said she did not know whether Monday’s shooting involved gangs, in particular a group called the Black Mob. She said some district students are connected to gangs but she did not know whether those students were connected with students involved in Monday’s incident.

So, goofball superintendent knows about a gang operating in her schools called “Black Mob,” but has no “indication that trouble was brewing.” Capt. Oblivious, not Capt. Obvious, por favor.

UPDATE 5:20 PM:   Here is the mother, identified as 51-year old Alma King:

This means that the 16-year old son is black as well.  Because TV news showed a lot of white neighbors, the going theory was that this mother/son combo were white.  Still in all, I think this is a tragic accident based on self-defense, and is a justifiable homicide.

Who Are We To Argue With Indigenous Peoples’ Science?

27 02 2007

UK Telegraph:

Once hailed as an untouched Shangri-La, the mist-shrouded highlands of Papua New Guinea are undergoing a dramatic resurgence in sorcery and witchcraft.

Age-old beliefs in black magic and evil curses are back with a vengeance in jungle-clad mountain valleys which were unknown to the outside world until the 1930s.

(snip)

A growing Aids crisis and the collapse of health services have sapped villagers’ faith in Western medicine and prompted a return to ancestral beliefs.

I can’t believe it. A white liberal newspaper is bashing the culture and folkways of a non-white indigenous culture, and trying to impose its “whiteness” upon them. That sounds like white racism to me.

Barely educated villagers living in remote mountain valleys are blaming the increasing number of Aids deaths not on promiscuity or a lack of condom use but on malign spirits.

This is getting better. Now this same white liberal newspaper, which would bemoan any white conservative religious fundamentalist who would blame sexual promiscuity for the spread of STDs, is now saying that it is a cause, when it comes to STDs spreading among a non-white indigenous population. More white racism.

A surge in the illegal growing of marijuana in the emerald green valleys has contributed to black magic paranoia, experts say.

I thought cannabis was a harmless herb.

“What is disturbing is that children are witnessing these things – the belief in sorcery and witchcraft is being passed on to the next generation.”

No, what is disturbing is that most of these same white liberals, who just engaged in the type of “racism” that they would otherwise denounce, are going to turn around and lobby for more PNGians to relocate to white countries, for purposes of asylum. Then they’ll be the first ones shocked at the sudden increase of witchcraft in England.

Three Simple Variables

27 02 2007

Right Wing News:

So, this guy ran from the cops, was weaving in and out of traffic at a high rate of speed, running redlights, hit another cruiser, and he’s supposed to be the victim here? Keep in mind folks, this guy has ALREADY WON in a lower court.

How did he win? That’s a bit baffling, since whatever you may think of ramming his car off the road, it certainly doesn’t seem to be a form of, “unreasonable seizure.” Maybe he won in the previous court because he ended up as a 19 year-old quadriplegic and they said, “forget the law, we feel sorry for him, so he wins.” Hopefully, that won’t be how it turns out in the Supreme Court.

There is a blockquote from McPaper in the story.

Easy answer:  Black thug (“victim”), plus black civil jury, plus white po-leeceseseses, equals big money.

The (Im)Potency of Treaties

27 02 2007

Schlafly:

Our Senators are taunted with the assertion that the United States should be embarrassed because 185 countries have ratified CEDAW, while we have not. I’m glad the Senate so far has had the good sense to reject a treaty that fraudulently makes naive people believe it will improve the lot of American women.

Pakistan has ratified CEDAW. That’s the country where a tribal council ordered a young woman gang-raped to avenge her brother’s crime of being seen with an unchaperoned woman from another tribe. Gang rape is common in Pakistan.

Nigeria has ratified CEDAW. That’s a country where women are stoned to death for the crime of adultery. Islamic law, called Shariah, calls for death to women who commit adultery, but a lesser punishment for adulterous men.

Saudi Arabia has ratified CEDAW. That’s the country where 14 girls died inside a Mecca school that went up in flames. Religious police kept rescuers from entering the building because some of the girls were not wearing their head coverings.

Colombia has ratified CEDAW. That’s a country where thousands of women a year are sold into sex slavery. Similar outrages take place in India, Nepal and Thailand, which have also ratified CEDAW.

Phyllis Schlafly is right. Domestic left-wingers love international treaties, not because it will really cure Chinese pollution or Pakistani misogyny, but because they will further advance the left-wing agenda in white countries (which is really all they care about), in ways that would not be possible through mutual public concurrence or the legislative process. This is similar to the liberal infatuation with an activist judiciary.
