WND:
The eighth time was a charm for Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., when the House passed his amendment to the Department of Homeland Security appropriations bill yesterday to withhold federal emergency-services funding from “sanctuary cities” that protect illegal aliens.
The 234-to-189 tally included 50 Democrats voting in favor.
I’ll say it again, and I’ll keep saying it until I’m blue in the fingers.
If a white town or city in Mississippi passed an ordinance prohibiting city employees or cops from participating with Federal authorities when they investigate, or prohibit their cops from arresting anyone for, Federal civil rights or voting rights violations when blacks are the suspected victims, the leftist Democrat analogue to Tom Tancredo wouldn’t need to try eight times to pass an amendment to a bill to deny such a town Federal money. The FBI would have already arrested the town’s politicians that voted for the ordinance, and the Federal prosecutor for the area would have drawn up criminal charges for obstruction of justice, conspiracy to do this or that, etc.
Tom Tancredo scores big against sanctuary cities
The bold congressman has passed his most successful bill in the past few years (Hat tip: Day In Day Out and Hot Air). It denies emergency funds to sanctuary cities for illegal immigrants.
