P-D:

Two men are in serious condition after a St. Louis man allegedly stole a car, led police on a car chase and crashed head on into an oncoming truck in southeast Missouri, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.

The patrol reported that Antuan L. Madison, 31, of St. Louis, stole a 2000 Ford Taurus from Kennett, Mo., about 200 miles south of St. Louis. About five miles away, Clarkton Police spotted the stolen car just after 8 p.m. Sunday and began chasing Madison in the Taurus, police said.

Madison, driving north on Highway 62, about a mile south of Malden, crossed the highway’s center line and struck a 1995 Ford Ranger pickup truck driven by Chase D. Winder, 17 of Malden, as Winder was driving south, police said.

Winder and Madison suffered serious injuries and were taken by ambulance to the Elvis Presley Trauma Center in Memphis, Tenn., police said.

No word yet on what charges could be filed against Madison, police said.

“Antuan” from St. Louis — it doesn’t take a rocket science to fill in the rest of the blanks.  Like southeast Missouri doesn’t have enough diversity, that they have to import more of it from St. Louis.
