WASHINGTON: Ex-Sen. Talent to serve on anti-terrorism board
Former U.S. Sen. Jim Talent of Missouri was named Friday to a new commission that seeks to prevent weapons of mass destruction from getting into the hands of terrorists.
Talent is on the Commission on the Prevention of Weapons of Mass Destruction Proliferation and Terrorism.
“Commission on the Prevention of Weapons of Mass Destruction Proliferation and Terrorism.” Try putting that on a business card. Actually, it can’t be a real resume enhancement, because it’s got too many words with “tion.” Also, try saying that five times in a row really quickly. Among the Commission’s responsibilities will be to find out how many pickle peppers that Peter Piper picked if Peter Piper really did haul it out on out to the pickle pepper farm, and to find out how much wood that woodchuck supposedly chucked.
This will really deter Johnny Jihad from getting his hands on a nuke, knowing that Jim Talent is in the way.
