Sorry, Jay. You Can Have More Degrees Than a Thermometer, and It Won’t Mean Anything If There’s Someone in India Willing to Work More Cheaply Than You.

Jay Nixon:  If everyone just had a free college education, then everything with the economy would be hunkey-dorey.

I have said it before in this medium, and I’ll keep saying it until everybody agrees with me:  The average American relies on restricting foreign trade and immigration to have anything resembling a decent standard of living.  If you say nothing about free trade and open borders, in terms of repudiating them both, you are condemning the prosperous working middle class to death, and our grandchildren to a future of living fifty to a run-down shack and slave wages, a la China, Mexico and Brazil.  Jay Nixon would make sure all fifty of them have college degrees.

And who was the only Presidential candidate who had both a track record of opposing free trade and open borders, and made an issue of them both during his campaign?  Oh, right, the one I endorsed.  Duncan Hunter.  Anyone else remember him?
