Would you ever in your wildest imagination associate these images with a potential Second Family of the United States of America? These look more like the people next door than the people that work at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. The more I look at these pictures, the more I think that McCain mad the right choice.
I tend to think McCain picked Sarah Palin because of her husband, Todd. I think he’ll wind up being the secret weapon for the campaign. Just looking at him, you know he actually works for a living, and works in a field that requires moderate physical labor. And we know that he’s a member of a union. Yeah, right, Michael Savage, Mitt Romney and his borderline metrosexual look would have done the trick.
Let me put it to you this way: Todd Palin looks like your average guy in Pennsylvania whose factory job was moved to China. Mitt Romney looks like the guy who moved the factory to China. (With Romney’s links to Bain Capital, and its Sino-perfidy, that might not be so far off the mark.) Sarah Palin looks like many of the former Western Union employees in Bridgeton and St. Charles, Missouri whose jobs were moved to Costa Rica. Mitt Romney looks like the Western Union CEO who decided to outsource.
