Worker sues Abercromie & Fitch Stores

ST. LOUIS — The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is suing after a Hollister Co. store worker was allegedly fired for refusing to wear pants or a skirt above the knee, something that she says violates her religious beliefs.

The EEOC filed suit Thursday on behalf of Lakettra Bennett, who formerly worked at the Hollister store at the St. Louis Galleria mall in Richmond Heights, Mo. The suit against J.M. Hollister LLC and parent company Abercrombie & Fitch Stores Inc. seeks back pay and damages.

Hollister, like its parent Abercrombie & Fitch, is one of those “naked ass white boys” stores.

In this day and age in the United States of America, I can ill imagine that there is someone who doesn’t grasp this.  Yet, certain people go to work for A&F or Hollister, then act all offended when they’re required to skimp on the raiment.  Like, Duh.  About once a month, I’ll read these kinds of lawsuit stories, usually they revolve around Muslim employees.

I have a theory.  These kinds of people are deliberately going to work for A&F and Hollister, as lawsuit bait.  The groups that sue A&F on their behalf will be able to bill the U.S. Justice Department for billable hours, because these are civil rights and discrimination lawsuits.  Though this theory doesn’t fly in the case of Miss Bennett, because it’s the EEOC bringing the lawsuit.
