Gay anti-violence group: 2008 attacks might be up
NEW YORK (AP) — A rash of attacks against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people across the country — including the severe beating of a New York man whose attackers believed he was gay — suggests the number of reported assaults could rise in 2008, an advocacy group said.
The number of reported attacks against LGBT people increased 24 percent in 2007 over 2006, and they were expected to jump in 2008, said Sharon Stapel, executive director of the New York City Anti-Violence Project.

Stapel attributed the increase in part to more people reporting incidents, but she believed there actually could have been more assaults because 2008 was an election year.
I agree with the premise, and I think that apparent hate crimes against LGBT individuals will increase in the coming years. And, predictably, the “religious right” will be blamed. But I think the current and future increases will come at the hands of mainly black thugs attacking white LGBT individuals or couples, and while they will seem to be anti-LGBT hate crimes, they will really be anti-white hate crimes. Corollary to that, I think hate crimes against Jews will increase, for much the same reason, and again they will be mistaken for anti-Semitic hate crimes when they will really be anti-white hate crimes.
Reason? O-B-A-M-A. Rather, the “we’z takin’ hover, honkey” street mentality, a la Mugabe and Mandela.
