At Least I’m Far Away from the Problem

Because of Illinois’s budget problems, the hoosegow doors might swing open early for some 10,000 guests of the state.  Earlier in the legislative session, the state House and Senate couldn’t find it in its “heart” to enact CCW privileges, which people would need to defend themselves against the ineviable crime wave that is about to come our way.  And I don’t buy the bullshit that these are “non-violent” felons with less than a year left in their bids — This is the People’s Republic of Illinois we’re talking about here.  If you’re black and in Chicagograd, you’re not going to prison unless you do something really bad.

Perhaps the only saving grace is that most of those released will be going back to Chicagograd.  However, thinking out loud here, most of the “non-violent” felons they’re thinking about releasing might be rural whites who live in hanging jurisdictions that have hanging judges, that have an imprisonment threshold far less tolerant than black/liberal judges in Chicagograd.  It might not be so bad if they’re the ones released.
