X Marks The Spot

Houston’s black Republican has bought a billboard advertisement proclaiming that MLK was a Republican.  While the billboard and its underlying idea is a total lie — MLK was not associated with either major party more than the other during his lifetime (though toward the end of his life, he was leaning Democrat), and the whole idea is the LSD-induced delusional wishful thinking of the aforementioned black Republican, as well as Republican neo-cons and lamestream conservatives, it did do one thing positive:

It enrages Quanell X.

Anything that makes Quanell X mad is fine by me.

UPDATE: Thanks to search engines, I did find out that MLK leaned toward the Republican Party on a national scale until 1960 and JFK.  Don’t forget, thanks to the wonderful Old Egalitarian Reprobate and his “proclamation,” the Republican Party was the liberal party on race (compared to the Democrats) from the end of the War Between the States until 1960.  As monolithic as black voters are today for Democrats, that’s how monolithic they were for Republicans between the end of the WBTS up until FDR.  It took the Stupid Party from 1932 until 1960 to realize that black voters had left them, the Democrats figured out how to outpander Republicans.
