‘Melody’ Missing from Music Industry, Quincy Jones Says
(CNSNews.com) – Legendary record producer and songwriter Quincy Jones told CNSNews.com that he would like to see more “melody” in the music industry today.
CNSNews.com asked Jones the following on the red carpet at the Ludacris Foundation gala over the weekend: “Is there anything more you’d like to see in the music industry that you think is lacking?”
“Yeah, I’d like to see more music – just melody. I miss melody,” the Grammy award-winner said before the gala. “Melody is God’s voice, you know? And they’re [musicians today] getting there – they are. They’re all my dogs. I know. We talk.”
Quincy Jones was being honored by rapper Chris “Ludacris” Bridges’ Foundation with the “Chairman’s Award” for his commitment to community service.
Bemoans the lack of melody in today’s music, then hangs out with Ludacris. Figure that one out.
