Four of the nine newly elected or re-elected members of the Detroit City Council either have CCW permits, or are in the process of getting one. They so admitted to the Detroit media. If I were any one of them, I wouldn’t have said that I have or am getting a CCW permit; they have just forfeited one of the best elements of CCW, the element of surprise. That’s why conceal carry is better than open carry, because Detroit street thug won’t be able to tell which of their potential victims can fight back and which can’t.
What bothers me, though, is that these very same politicians would otherwise oppose CCW for everyone else, especially whites. One of things I’ve harped on in this medium is that everything blacks oppose whites doing vis-a-vis black crime, including Jim Crow, the segregationist system, CCW, racially targeted gun control in all but name (i.e. no guns for felons), or whatever, is what blacks will do themselves once they get power over other blacks.
