* Everyone is acting so shocked and appalled at the “backdoor amnesty” memo circulating around the Federal bureaucracy. You’re all late to the party, goofballs — Amnesty by means of non-enforcement has pretty much been executive-level policy of the American Federal government for the last three Presidential administrations, and most of the rest going back to LBJ.
* I misplaced the story I had, but this other story mentions it in passing:
In Phoenix, hundreds of the law’s opponents massed at a downtown jail, beating on the metal door and forcing sheriff’s deputies to call for backup. Officers in riot gear opened the doors, waded into the crowd and hauled off those who didn’t move. They arrested at least 23 people, and more were detained elsewhere.
LOL — Beating the jail door, as if they wanted to go in. Which some of them did. Gotta love the reduced inmate transport costs.
* Exposing the moral turpitude of SB 1070 opponents is as easy as taking toys from a baby.
* 1070: Four magic numbers that turned Jan Brewer from dead meat to a sure thing. I wonder if other politicians are paying attention.
* From what I can see, the few modern-day self-styled communists are for open borders.
* I slightly disagree with the WSJ’s take here. Where there are masses of young people involved in street theater, there are older people behind the curtains pulling the strings. This is exactly the same stuff that went in with the civil rights movement in the 1950s and 60s — The older activists prodded and used teenagers and young adults to engage in street theater, because they had nothing to lose. Also, why can’t we deport them? If they’re old enough to get free condoms, they’re old enough to be sent back from whence they came.
* Read the ending paragraph. Mets fans are good for something after all.
Until now, the illegal alien rabble and their legal alien and citizen enablers did their best to put American flags into their hands, to make the whole thing seem “patriotic” form a PR standpoint. Now the other side is getting insouciant and brazen. Here’s hoping that this little demonstration at Citi Field flipped another five House seats by itself.
BTW, Just where is a good taser when you need one?
