* In the states that have held plebiscite party primaries this far this political season, the number of Republican ballots cast has exceeded the number of Democrat ballots cast, the first time that has happened since 1930. The margin is about four million, but Democrat-friendly New York won’t hold its primary until this coming Tuesday. That might narrow that margin a bit, but won’t eliminate it. But it might not even narrow the margin, as while all the Democrats in everything statewide in NYS are expected to win in November, their respective primaries are foregone conclusions, while the Republicans’ primaries are contentious in several instances, including that Paladino-Lazio slugfest to see who gets to lose to Andrew Cuomo.
