Illiberals produce a video extolling the virutes of ObamaCare’s ramifications for the sort of people we used to call young adults:
Follow the logic here:
(1) The people in this video are suggestively naked, but the signs cover their private parts.
(2) They get to stay on their parents’ private plans until age 26, which means they’re really not adults anymore, just overgrown children.
Put the two together, and what is this video almost?
Child porn.
As an aside, the reason ObamaCare has this provision has really nothing to do with these naked beneficiaries, but everything to do with helping colleges and universities, a Democrat constituency, save money and in some cases, make money on top of that. If all these college students are on their parents’ plans, this means the colleges can shut down their student health services, saving them money, with the expectation that the student will use his or her parents’ insurance card and go to a doctor or hospital in that area that accepts that insurance. If the particular university has a med school and an associated university hospital, then it’s an even better deal for the university, because the students can go to the university hospital as a “private patient with insurance” on paper, and the U Hospital gets recompensed by the student’s parents’ insurance company. Whereas before, being able to use the U Hospital was a “free” perk of attending the school.
