In legal jargon, the “but for” test is a layman’s way of describing the axiom of proximate causation, i.e. arriving at a differential explanation for something happening when there is no rock solid evidence proving a cause. If you have something happen, and there are five different plausible reasons for it, the “but for” test takes each one of these five causes out of the mix, to see in which one’s absence the event is least likely to have taken place.
The Cardinals have been in Los Angeles to play the Dodgers for a long weekend set, and the first game of the series was Thursday night. That was the first Dodger game back in L.A. since the infamous Dodgers-Giants series at Chavez Ravine where Giants fan Bryan Stowe got seriously beaten by a group of Hispanic Dodger fans. The LAPD was out in full force before and during Thursday’s game.
I want to cut and paste here a running conversation between myself and a secret squirrel source in Southern California, no names. My end of the conversation is in italics.
Listening to the local radio talk shows this morning on the way to work. Two goofballs who do morning drive on a sports talker in town blamed team uniforms for what happened at Dodger Stadium, and also blamed the victim for wearing a Giants uniform in Dodger stadium, “knowing the history of violence” there.
In a weird way they’re right: gangs here have adopted “Dodger Blue” and the Dodgers as their mascot, those gangs that defend blue that is, sometimes to the death. I have listened to anecdote after anecdote for days now from callers describing what it’s been like for years and years inside of Dodger Stadium — an atmosphere of pure gang hatred and thuggery directed at White fans– Whites stared down, spit on, things throw at them and their children, full cups of beer , hot dogs and peanuts tossed at them, told they’re going to get “pissed on.” The language from these gang assholes inside the stadium is racial, vulgar, loud and relentless. AND, these are Dodger Fans, White Dodgers Fans with children who are being assaulted, not people wearing the other team’s uniform.
Security apparently does nothing, even when alerted.
That’s why you’re quite correct that this was a Hispanic-on-White Racial Hate Crime.
Also, that supreme moron Frank McCourt INVITED the Mexicans into the stadium with cheap seats, cheap food and “Viva Los Dodgors” nights, to come out and celebrate Latino ballplayers. Combine that with police chiefs (both Bratton and Beck), appointed political hacks doing the cretinous mayor’s bidding by protecting illegal (and all) gang members via Special Order 40 and it’s a recipe for a disaster. A few days ago the police chief and mayor gave a press conference warning that they “will no longer tolerate” criminal activity in or around the stadium — criminal activity and intimidation that has been going on for years.
Assholes!
John & Ken here on local read have make NO bones about this being a Hispanic Racial Hate Crime against Whites, those two have never minced words about race. And, it’s NOT about alcohol as I keep hearing around here: It’s about Racial Hatred of Whites — I don’t believe this attack would have been made on a black or other Hispanic. And, if I hear, one more time, that it’s “all of our problem” I’m going to Go Postal!!
I love Dodger Stadium and it PISSES me OFF that Dodger Stadium is yet one more place I can longer go in Los Angeles, ceded to Third World thuggery, violence and destruction.
First off, the media hide all that violence at Dodger Stadium, and to the extent they talk about it, they don’t cite race as the real reason.
John & Ken, Larry Elder on talk radio. That’s it. The MSM around here still describe this as a “parking lot fight” a “violent incident” or “alcohol fueled”, implying that it could have been “any” fan attacking another fan who wore the opposing team’s uniform. Geez, gimme a break!
Bryan Stowe’s mother has been on my local talk show every day — she still seems to think Bryan will recover fully and go home even though the dr.’s have said (on the same show) that Bryan is basically brain dead (nothing behind his eyes) and is still “unresponsive.” I’m sure they can tell if Bryan is brain dead by now, and it sounds like he is. The main doctor said by the time Bryan arrived at the hospital, his brain was so swollen he immediately sat on the side of the bed, yelled for a long probe and inserted it deep into Bryan’s brain to relieve the massive amount of pressure. I suspect he was DOA. The dr. described Bryan as “having had his skull crushed in” (exact words).
The dr. said they’re going to wait a week, and then “re-evaluate” – for the sake of the family, I think — but I’m sure a transplant team has already been alerted.
The assholes who did this are probably long across the border. The reward is up to $150,000 and STILL no one has said a word (I heard the chief detective last night and he said they have nothing, absolutely nothing, no one saw or heard a thing and tips are drying up and nothing new is coming in).
As far as uniforms, I’m sure the number of times when white sports fans has worn the visiting team’s uniforms in the home team’s venue have been virtually infinite, yet they’re not scared of getting clobbered, much less actually getting clobbered. Obviously the real reason is that Hispanics (and blacks) are using team uniforms as vicarious gang garb. In the case of this near-murder at Chavez Ravine, I think it was almost purely a race hate crime. We’ll never know because the LAPD won’t investigate the race angle, the Chips won’t, the LA County Sheriff won’t, and the FBI won’t, because all four law enforcement agencies work for Villaraigosa (Hispanic), Jerry Brown (kooky white lib), Lee Baca (reconquista nut), Obama (viva Kenya)/Holder (white people aren’t human/don’t have civil rights).
Yes. This is exactly what I believe. Only don’t give Villaraigosa credit for anything, he only does what his handlers tell him (Obama too for that matter!). He is profoundly stupid (flunked the bar four times). Those assholes ONLY came forth after talk radio stirred up the racial hatred issue around here. Every day on the radio, Bryan’s mother was asked if the mayor, Frank McCourt, Chief Beck (or ex-chief Bratton) or anyone from the LAPD brass or Dodgers head office had contacted her and for about seven days the answer was NO. If the races were reversed, this would be relentless International News 24/7/365.
I see that the LAPD is out in force big time at Chavez Ravine for the Cards-Dodgers game. I think this is the first game back at Chavez since the near-murder.
My local radio station counted 120 police cars around the stadium — Bratton and Beck are strutting around, huffing and puffing back and forth inside the stadium making loud statements about “there will be respect and order here tonight!” and “we will throw out any troublemakers!” Gimme a break from these emasculated idiots! They are both feminized eunuchs! The illegal immigrant criminals and gangs running loose all over LA must be having a field day. Not that ANY of them are afraid of the wimpy, PC-ized LAPD –the last vestiges of which fell apart after Chief Daryl Gates was forced out after the Rodney King riots.
Wonder what it’s costing the city and if the “Doyers” or McCourt will be charged, as they should be — make it part of the McCourt divorce settlement. Dodger Stadium will once again become hostile gang territory once the police presence is gone, probably by the next home game.
Did anyone go to the game tonight? White fans have been scared away by racial threats and the Hispanic gang members are out committing crimes. The entire stadium must be empty.
But then, this is but one of many symptoms of the last days of Los Angeles, as it descends into tribalism, madness, chaos and economic meltdown.
What good will it do? I think it’s all for show and PR. I mean, they can’t actually enforce the law, because of SO 40. And even if they see another beating, they won’t do anything about it, if the assailants are a protected minority and the victim is white.
Yeah, the Dodgers announced tonight they will no longer serve 1/2 price beer because “that was part of the problem.” They still don’t get it. I don’t think Dodger Stadium will be able to shake the specter of racial violence against Whites after this; the local Six Flags Magic Mountain had several gang incidents in their parking lot in the 80s and it’s STILL talked about as being “taken over by violent gangs.”
Meanwhile, the Bryan Stowe’s doctors said today that they’re going to try to “bring Bryan out of his two week coma.” They didn’t sound hopeful — and I hope to hell his organs (if it comes to that) DON’T go to Hispanics, or his family “forgives” the Hispanic community. Spare me from White Lefties who seek to “understand” why non-Whites hate us so. Get a Clue! They hate you because you’re White, you’re White, you’re White!! Got that morons!
They’re as bad, if not worse than the non-Whites that killed or maimed their loved ones — it’s the Amy Biehl syndrome.
So we have three explanations for the virtual murder of Bryan Stowe — Opposing team uniform, alcohol and race. After reading what you just read, apply the “but for” test. It’s perfectly obvious to me that if you make Bryan Stowe Hispanic instead of white, this attack was far less likely to have happened (“but for” race), then factoring his Giants uniform alone out of the question, or factoring the beer out of the question. Maybe it still would have but for the uniform, or but for the beer. However, but for race is the clear winner to arrive at a differential explanation.
One part of my conversation with secret squirrel that he or she did not blockquote responding to me is that I related what I heard on an evening drive last week listening to either KFNS or KSLG. The hosts said that Dodger Stadium is full of gangs, while Angles games in Anaheim are more “family friendly.” Translated from PC gobbledygunk into English, that means that Dodger Stadium is full of Hispanics while Angels Stadium crowds are mostly white an Asian. However, it remains to be seen for how much longer Angels Stadium games will be “family friendly,” because northern Orange County from Santa Ana to the north, not including the expensive beach neighborhoods, is heavily Hispanic. And that includes Anaheim. I’m told that Disneyland, not far from Angels Stadium, is basically a Mexican colony now full of anti-white Mexican drug/hate gangs. So it stands to reason that Angels Stadium is the next to fall. Unless ownership engages in some trick to keep them out, at which time the Raza/MALDEF kooks will drag them into court and shop it to a Ninth Circus lib kook judge. Too, the Angels’ main owner is a Hispanic billionaire based in Phoenix (Arturo Moreno), so I doubt he would try and use any subtle pricing tricks to keep Hispanics out of Angels games.
[...] I get it. The Giants are going to stuff the truth of the matter, that the near-murder of Bryan Stow was a racial hate crime on the part of Hispanic perpetrators, down the memory hole with this sing song and dance about “homophobic bullying.” Of [...]
