BND:

Shiloh man faces felony charge for allegedly throwing machete at police

A Shiloh man has been charged with felony assault after allegedly throwing a machete at a police officer on Tuesday.

Edward A. Jones, 26, of the 3000 block of Canton Run Crossing in Shiloh, was arrested on Tuesday following the alleged assault. On Thursday, the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office charged Jones with aggravated assault to a police officer and a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest.

Shiloh police say Jones was holding a machete up in the air and chasing another man out of a home when officers arrived in the 3000 block of Canton Run Crossing. A Shiloh officer ordered Jones to put the machete down, but instead Jones allegedly cursed at the officer and threw the machete at them. The machete did not strike the police officer.

That’s just the luck.  We name our football dome after him, and he goes out and does this to reward our gratitude.

Speaking of, I hope Edward Jones (the firm, not the spearchucker) was smart enough to avoid FB like the plague.
