Senate Confirms Brennan Nomination

In an uncontroversial and unceremonious vote, the U.S. Senate, including Republicans David Dewhurst (Tex.), Charlie Crist (Fla.), Trey Grayson (Ky.) and Bob Bennett (Utah), approved President Obama’s nomination of White House counter-terrorism adviser John Brennan to be the new head of the CIA. The only Democrat to vote against the nomination was Ron Wyden (Ore.)
