(1)  There is no such thing as a “former gang member.”  There are such things as pine boxes full of “former gang members.”  I’m glad the judge didn’t buy it.

(2)  I can’t find a picture of one 19-year old Mr. Dale Gary Boocock, who is now convicted of raping an 86-year old woman in a nursing home, she died from the injuries sustained from the rape.  Perhaps the reason we’re not seeing Mr. Boocock’s mug is because it would show us that he is a member of the race that seems to have the market on raping excessively elderly women totally cornered.  We would have already seen the mug if he were white.

(3)  Jewish war veterans marching a Rememerance (Veterans) Day Parade last Wednesday in a town in England had to endure anti-Semitic slurs and cat calls, including “kill the Jews,” from several Explorer Scouts, aged 14 to 18, lined up along the parade route.  If the Scouts were white, the Brit MSM would have already told us.  That they have not told us probably means they aren’t white, and are probably Muslim of either Middle Eastern or South Asian descent.

(4)  Brent Gobbell — Should be the next HLS Secretary.  Instead, he is the typical white law enforcement officer who is (1) Sane, and (2) Has to deal with blacks on a daily basis.

(5)  The very thing Microsoft once called a “cancer” and “communism” is now something that MSFT relies upon to help people install Windows 7 from USB sticks — open source software.

(6)  On the one hand, it’s based on a Linux distro.  On the other hand, I don’t like the underlying assumption that older people who want to use computers are somehow mental midgets and deserve nothing more than clown computer OSes.

Microsoft has tried to do the same thing, when it had at one time as many as 600 MSFT employees working on how to strip features out of Windows XP to come up with its “starter” edition.  It was nothing more than attempt to head off Linux in the developing world.  However, I would have been insulted if I were a third worlder presented with MSFT’s stripped down OS, because it assumes you’re so stupid that you can’t find your ass with both hands on your rear end, and it also assumes that you’re so desperate for a Microsoft OS that you’re willing to accept crippled crap.

(7)  I’m just some schmuck here in schmuckville, and I’m not “surprised” about Tom Tancredo’s “comeback.”  Yet, a major political news site is, or seems to be.  Everyone with a brain who was paying attention knew that TT would either run for Senate or Governor in Colorado at some point in the near future.

I had a little bit of a bug yesterday that kept me house bound through the afternoon.  So I was reduced to the utter indignity of flipping around the TV on the remote.

Channel 11 (KPLR) is showing St. Louis JFL (Junior Football Leauge) games on Saturday afternooon.  Since it was night when the game was played, I am assuming the game was actually played the night before, but didn’t want to show it until the next afternoon.  After all, ten-year old boys chasing a ball isn’t as important as sitcoms/slobcoms/slutcoms where 24-year old men and women pretend to be 16-year old teenagers that 15-year old girl TV viewers can slobber over.

What is the wisdom of televising 10-year old boys playing football?  I know that Kevin Slaten is opposed to putting the Little League World Series on national television.  He never said why, but making inferences from things he has said before, I think his reason has to do with the soundbyteization of politics, the powerpointization of business, and the highlightreelization of sports.  Politician has to compress his statements down to a clever one-liner that will play over and over again on the prime time gab shows.  Sales Manager has to convince people to open accounts with his company based on 20 cartoon slides.   And professional athlete can’t be bothered to do something routine and boring to help his team win; Oh no.  He has to slam it in the hole or swing for the fences so that ESPN can play it 50 times in the next 24 hours.

I think Slaten is worried that televising 12-year olds playing baseball will induce them to swing for the fences to make the highlight reel.  If there’s a runner on first, and no outs, and you’re a mediocre hitter at the plate, dropping a bunt to move the runner over to second is decidedly un-sexy, and won’t make the highlight reel.  But, speaking in terms of probability, it is way more likely a run will score that way than it would if he and his wonderful .250 average swung for the fences.  LLWS games on TV encourage swinging for the fences; if they weren’t on TV, the un-sexy work would be the order of the day.

I don’t know if it follows that this is the reason not to put youth football on TV.  After all, from what I saw, just from the scant few minutes watching it, neither team seemed to have anything more than a two-page playbook.  It was either QB hands off to the RB, or QB play-actions to the RB and runs it himself.  It’s just that one team was way more successful (19-0 in the 4th quarter when I was watching) than the other at it.  Ten year old boys don’t seem to have the ability to pull a Hail Mary to the end zone, or anything other than the decidedly un-sexy deja le meme chose.  I get the feeling that the kickers were rarely used; each touchdown was followed by a 2-point attempt.  A score of 19-0 probably means that at least one successful FG was kicked.

Happy Ramahanakwansmas, and here’s hoping there are other holidays that are plus or minus 3 months of the winter solstice to add in.

Leader of Australia’s Liberal Party (which is its lamestream conservative party, in spite of its name), currently the minority in Parliament, wants to bring back “temporary visas” for masses of refugees on boats (usually south or southeast Asian) that like to show up on Australia’s shores every once in awhile.  Prime Minster Kevin Rudd, leader of the majority Australian Labour Party, noted that 90% of such “temporary visa” holding boat refugees that got their visas under similar plans enacted by Rudd’s predecessor, PM John Howard of the Liberal Party, got permanent visas.  And I’m sure most of them will become citizens, if they haven’t already.

How’s that for a turnabout — the liberal (small “l”) PM is against mass immigration, the “conservative” party is for it.  The irony is that John Howard got his nuts out of the vise several times when his political career seemed over by turning away such boat refugees.  It was all an election season gimmick.  I suspect that Kevin Rudd’s newfound “conservatism” is the same kind of gimmick; elections in Australia are next year.

Everything that can be said about how insane brining GTMO terrorist to American soil for a domestic criminal trial has already been said, save that New York City has a lot of Muslims, so there are sure to be at least one on every relevant jury.  That increases the chances for nullification.

But I have a rhetorical question — When in the early 1990s did the United States annex Afghanistan, such that the people there plotting 9/11 from ca. 1995 to 2001 are American citizens that have a Constitutional right to due process of the law?

I swung a deal with my immediate supervisor at work this week, such that I worked on Vets Day this past Wednesday in order to have today off, and therefore a longer weekend back in STL.  Today was the first non-holiday weekday I have spent back in St. Louis since I moved to Carbondale in January, and I spent a little bit of it flipping around the local radio dial.

I knew that the 1490 AM station in St. Louis, call letters WFFX officially, but marketed as WESL, had changed format back in July, to become an “urban” (read: black) oriented sports talk station, and that Richard “Onion” Horton would do the morning drive, in spite of the sports format.  That I found out from Mike Anderson over at STL Media.  I also know that the Romaniks are buying the station; they being the driving force behind KZQZ, and are well on their way to owning every AM in the Metro East.

You know who has a show following Horton every weekday morning?  Rob Desir, a sports anchor at KTVI Channel 2.  Desir mainly does 9 and 10 PM.  Desir’s radio co-host, someone named “Moses,” is someone I’ve never heard of.

One of the regular callers on that station, so I understand based on things I’m implying, is a black militant who calls himself “Jacob Israel.”  His claim to fame is that he calls himself a “black Hebrew Israelite.”  Since Mr. Israel has called other radio stations in St. Louis over the years, and even been a Sunday morning host for a short time on one station, I have a distinct understanding on who he is, and why anyone who gets close to him ought to be raked over the coals.

I’ll have to digress on a bit of background.

In the late 19th and early 20th Century, at the height of the British Empire, there emerged a movement called British-Israelism.  It was a religious sect, that believed that white Britons (“white” used to be self-evident when saying “Briton”) were the reassemblance of the twelve tribes of Israel that scattered out of Roman-occupied Judea after the Romans drove them out and burnt the original Temple in 70 A.D.  The obvious inference we’re supposed to take was that Britons were the “true Jews,” and “God’s chosen people,” and Divine blessings explained the power and prosperity of the British Empire.  In the minds of British-Israel adherents, those calling themselves “Jews” (i.e. the real Jews) were diabolical fakers and interlopers.  (As an aside, there is a possibility that British-Israel ideology was a partial driving factor behind the post WWII British government’s insistence on a Jewish partition of their divestment of their Middle Eastern and Mesopotamian imperial possessions, the Jewish partition became the modern day state of Israel, the rest beoming Jordan, Syria and Iraq.  However, the whole thing is very much a subject of debate.)

Later on, in the United States of America, near and encompassing the height of its imperial power and material prosperity, there arose a similar religious faith, called Christian Identity.  It is almost a carbon copy of B-I, except you erase “white Britons” and substitute “white Americans.”

In both the case of B-I and CI, those religious ideologies were built on the foundation of assuming that white Britions and white Americans (respectively) were nothing more than the reassembled twelve scattered tribes of Israel.  Any good amateur historian can tell you why that has more holes than a square miles’ worth of swiss cheese.  Therefore, B-I and CI are factually wrong, and therefore cannot be faithfully correct.  Furthermore, both Jewish intellectuals and anti-Semitic gentiles used to believe that modern-day Jews were descended from Khazars and not the original Israelites.  (This is how B-I and CI adherents were able to make the case that the “supposed Jews” weren’t really Jewish, even if the notion that white Britons or white Americans being a reassembly of the 12 Tribes of Israel is historically problematic.)  Mitochondrial DNA sequencing has proven that theory wrong; most modern-day Jews are direct descendants of ancient Israel, and several old Israeli surnames denoting profession have survived to this day, the modern Jews with those surnames are descended from those of that profession.  For instance, “Cohen,” or its many variants in spelling, comes from the Hebrew word “priest.”  Therefore, “Cohens” in ancient Israel were priests.  Today’s “Cohens” are mostly descended from the priestly class in ancient Israel.  The whole upshot of this is that the true Jews are the true Jews, and that B-I, CI and BHI (see below) are FACTUALLY wrong.

But what I think is going on is that, throughout history, and even into today in spite of our becoming less superstitious and more rational and logical, there is this need among human beings in successful countries and empires to attach an otherworldly explanation for that success, to contrast with less successful countries.  In other words, it can’t possibly be because the country’s people are smarter, more diligent, more moral, more altruistic, harder working, industrious and innovative, and given to education for both practical motives and just for the sake of itself, oh no.  It’s God’s doings, or Zeus’s, or Jupiter’s, or Amon-Re’s.

That said, a black Hebrew-Israelite, as Mr. Israel describes himself as, and has preached the tenets of on various radio stations in St. Louis at various times in the last decade and a half, is someone who believes with B-I and CI believes, but applies only to black Americans.  Black Africans, black Hispanics and black Brazilians aren’t included.  Therefore, black Americans are the reassembled twelve tribes of Israel, and therefore God’s chosen people.  (Not much of a God, eh?)  Unlike B-I and CI, Mr. Israel does not say that black Americans are successful because of God; this would be kind of a stretch.  But, like B-I and CI, Mr. Israel and his BHI school of thought does say that the true Jews are diabolical fakers and interlopers.  On top of that, Mr. Israel often calls white people (both Jewish and Gentile) “heathens,” “white devils,” and representative of a “demon seed.”  He’s not shy about this, he does it on the radio a lot, including a couple times when I was listening today.  Among his less obnoxious habits are to greet friends with the word “Shalom,” the Hebrew word for peace.

Back to Mr. Desir — If he were white, and started a talk show on a radio station where white adherents to Christian Identity were regular callers, then KTVI couldn’t get his ass out the door fast enough.  I myself wouldn’t be having the kind of cow I having if it were just that with the Mr. Desir we all know and love.  But I heard him today ACTIVELY praising Jacob Israel, about how wise and smart he was, and how he “just brings it.”  (Exact quote).  Of course, Mr. Israel called in some time after that, and did his usual spiel about the white devils/demon seeds/heathens.  Mr. Desir also praised Onion Horton, talking about how he has such big shoes to fill every weekday after Horton.  In case you don’t know, Mr. Horton, while avoiding the hateful invective of a Mr. Israel, is an obsessive black fanatic himself, blaming whites and “white racism” for almost everything, seeing a Kluxer under every rock.  From what I could tell, Mr. Israel is a regular caller on Mr. Horton’s show, the latter heaping praise on the former, also.  Of course, Mr. Horton is himself given to anti-Semitism from time to time.  None that I heard today, but he has made slurs against “the Jews” on occasion in the past, linking them to our foreign policy support of Israel and our military efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Mr. Horton is also sympathetic to communism and the dictatorial mass murdering regine of Mao Tse-Tung in China, but again, not today, but in the past.

So, there you go.  KTVI has a sports anchor, the face of its sports coverage in late prime time and post-prime time, knowingly and actively cavorting with blant anti-white and anti-Semitic black bigots and worshipers of manical communist mass murderers.  His bosses at the TV station ought to hear about it.  I think they will, from me.

Like I said before, I know the Romaniks are about to buy 1490 AM.  Here’s hoping they don’t change the format, so I can smoke out some more haters in the future.

Jesse Spencer, the Melbourne, VIC, Australia native who plays Dr. Chase, and has for all six seasons thus far, has two brothers and a sister, all of them doctors or soon-to-be doctors.  Go figure, of all his parents’ children, that one that isn’t a doctor makes the most money for playing a doctor on TV.

Four of the nine newly elected or re-elected members of the Detroit City Council either have CCW permits, or are in the process of getting one.  They so admitted to the Detroit media.  If I were any one of them, I wouldn’t have said that I have or am getting a CCW permit; they have just forfeited one of the best elements of CCW, the element of surprise.  That’s why conceal carry is better than open carry, because Detroit street thug won’t be able to tell which of their potential victims can fight back and which can’t.

What bothers me, though, is that these very same politicians would otherwise oppose CCW for everyone else, especially whites.  One of things I’ve harped on in this medium is that everything blacks oppose whites doing vis-a-vis black crime, including Jim Crow, the segregationist system, CCW, racially targeted gun control in all but name (i.e. no guns for felons), or whatever, is what blacks will do themselves once they get power over other blacks.

Ninety percent of City University of New York (CUNY) freshmen that graduated from New York City public high schools can’t do basic algebra, which is middle or early high school work, and two-thirds couldn’t turn common fractions into decimals, which one should master in elementary school.

I don’t need to make the racial point here — as long as you’ve been reading this medium, you know what I’m thinking.  But this story proves two things otherwise:  One, New York City public high school diplomas (and elementary school diplomas) aren’t worth the paper they’re printed on, and two, the supposed end to open enrollment and the supposed return of admissions standards to CUNY ten years ago were just window dressing, Rudy Giuliani.

“Migrant” workers (read: illegal alien cheap labor) at at Lancahshire slaughterhouse in England are being forced to clock out and clock in to use the restroom, and their “pay,” even the pittance that it would otherwise be, is reduced on a prorated basis.

I have news for those who are hoping that the union will do something about it — Don’t hold your breath.  (You’ll have to clock out and in to do that, and that’ll be docked from your pay).  The unions in the UK have been bought off, compromised and neutralized just like they have been in the U.S.

If this makes you upset, then you have an opportunity to do something about it when Gordon Brown finally accepts his fate and calls for elections.  And that is to vote BNP, whose politicians will reduce immigration, so that businesses don’t have a steady stream of cheap immigrant labor to use as a weapon against their existing employees.

Leaving CNN after tonight’s show, which, at the time of this writing, has already happened.  Was one of the charter anchors when CNN started in 1980.  Rush Limbaugh just marked 25 years of his show in its current style, the first three-and-a-half being at KFBK-AM in Sacramento, the rest nationally.  Lou Dobbs has been with CNN for most of almost the last 30 years.  That’s a long time to be doing anything, especially in television media.

Now I can finally delete CNN from my satellite box’s favorite channel list.  Might I have to add Fox Business to it?  I buy the Dobbs to FoxBiz rumors, and he would be a great fit.  The only thing FoxBiz has on halfway worth watching for non-Wall Street Junkies is Don Imus, but I’m not a big Imus fan.

UPDATE 11/13: The New York Post has some of the skinny, and from what I read, assuming I’m interpreting it correctly, and assuming it’s the truth, then I’m disappointed in Dobbs.

Evidently, CNN suits wanted Dobbs to put a lid on the birther talk.  Not that Dobbs did it at much, but the bosses didn’t want him doing it at all.  That’s why Dobbs left, and that being said, if Lou Dobbs is walking away from an hour a night on CNN and $9 million in salary because he gathered up his marbles and went home because of the birther issue, then I have to doubt his maturity at least a little bit.  I mean, what’s more important, immigration, or some rumor about a birth certificate?   Especially since I happen to think that the person of Barack Hussein Obama II was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and he’s deliberately hiding his Hawaii birth certificate (or David Axelrod is having him do it) to fuel the birther issue and create a diversion so that the right-wing doesn’t focus on his rotten policies.  Even if he weren’t born in HI, and was born in a foreign country, there’s nothing that we can do about it now that wouldn’t wind up being weaseled out of by the Supreme Court (with Obama appointee Sotomayor in the court now, BTW) or wouldn’t piss off moderate Democrats to high heaven.  Face it, birthers, you’re either falling for a trick, or you’re chasing after a rainbow.  Knock it off.  It has already cost us Lou Dobbs.  (As an aside, this means that CNN wasn’t bothered by his immigration talk, which is a big poke in the eye to the brown bigots that are gloating today.)

But WaPo had no trouble figuring the motive when they had already all but convicted and sentenced to death some unnamed white man in a nondescript white van.  They had already plagiarized cut-and-pasted whole paragraphs from the Southern Poverty Law Center, and were just about ready to hit Shift+Ins once the cops caught up with the white man and van.

For those at the befuddled Post, you can easily find out the answer.  While it won’t be as easy as you first thought, thanks to the wonderful Supreme Court decision you like so much about not executing juveniles, the other non-white man in a non-white non-van will live out the rest of his days as a guest of some state.  Go ask him some questions.

I did notice that there was the relative lack of media consternation over someone, especially a non-white someone, being executed, when they would all hoof it down to Texas and denounce Bush/Perry any other time.  I think the reason is that the snipings/terrorism happened in D.C. and environs, one of the two hubs of the mainstream media.

US officials begin push against human trafficking

About 800,000 men, women and children are trafficked each year around the world and about 17,500 of them end up in the United States, according to ICE.

BOSTON — Fourteen cities are being targeted in a new campaign aimed at alerting people about human trafficking, federal immigration officials have announced.

The “Hidden in Plain Sight” initiative, sponsored by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, features billboards highlighting “the horrors and the prevalence of human trafficking,” which the agency says is equivalent to “modern-day slavery.”

The words “Hidden in Plain Sight” are displayed on the advertisements with a toll-free number people can call to report situations where they believe people are being sexually exploited or forced to work against their will.

Cities in the new campaign are Atlanta; Boston; Dallas; Detroit; Los Angeles; Miami; Philadelphia; Newark, N.J.; New Orleans; New York; St. Paul, Minn.; San Antonio; San Francisco and Tampa, Fla.

Human trafficking is a problem in America?  Then the Federal Government should take a page out of the Scotland Yard book, when it solved its gang rape problem by banning the use of the term “gang rape.”  Enact the bill, with whatever glowing name that David Axelrod will ask Nancy Pelosi to call it, which will look like illegal alien amnesty, walk like it, talk like it, quack like it, and will have feathers like it, even thought we will be told that it’s not amnesty and are bigots if we call it amnesty.  Once that happens, the human trafficking problem, not to mention the illegal alien problem, will go away.

Gallup:  Rs lead Ds on a generic U.S. House ballot for next year’s midterms, 48% to 44%.  Other polls show the generic GOP with an even bigger generic lead.

Oh well, I guess I must say it again.  House elections are contested by real people, not generic entities.  They usually revolve around local issues, except on rare occasions like in 1994 or 2006, when the party that flipped the House “nationalized” the elections, in that they made voters in House elections focus on issues other than the local water treatment facility that incumbent Congressman was able to pork barrel home.  In 1994, the issue was President Clinton’s extremism.  In 2006, the issue was President Bush’s failures.  But even in those cases, a real political party, not a generic entity, nationalizes the elections.

The reason why I’m not ready to predict big Republican gains in the House next year is because this is the Stupid Party we’re dealing with.  Believe me, they’ll find a way to fuck it up.  But the economy might be so bad a year from now, and President Obama so unpopular, that the Republicans might win back the House in spite of themselves.

One thing working in their advantage is that they don’t have to have a very big advantage in the aggregate number of votes cast for Republican House candidates over Democrats’ to win back the House.  As a matter of fact, the Democrats could have more votes than the Republicans in this regard, and the Republicans still might win back the House.  If, for example, Republicans get exactly 40 million votes for its Congressional candidates, and the Democrats also get the same 40 million, the Republicans will win more districts than the Ds, and therefore win back the House.  The reason is that so many of those 40 million Democrat votes are clumped up in already reliably blue districts, mainly black and Hispanic, but also some northeastern white liberal districts.  A given Republican winner next year won’t win his or her race by big margins, but a win is a win is a win.  It’s the same reason why Bush won the electoral college in 2000 while Gore won the popular vote.  It’s the same reason why the Pittsburgh Pirates won the 1960 World Series even though the Yankees scored more runs overall.

Let’s say that the three Congressional districts in St. Louis County are the only three in the country.  Therefore, the U.S. House consists of three Congress(wo)men.  Democrat Lazy Clay wins the 1st with 90% of the vote.  Republican Todd Akin wins the 2nd with 55% of the vote.  Ed Martin (R) topples Russ Carnahan (D) in the 3rd with 51% of the vote.  This means that the popular vote is about 61% Democrat and 39% Republican.  (Assume that all three districts have the same number of voters).  But Republicans control the House with a 2-to-1 margin, because most of those Democrat votes were black voters clumped up in the 1st which will always go Democrat anyway.

The reason why Democrats won back the House in 2006 and made bigger gains last year is because their aggregate votes were WAY more than Republicans.

As an aside, there is sometimes international criticism of the American Electoral College.  In 2000, the EC installed Bush even though Gore won the popular vote.  However, in both the UK and Australia, it is a real possibility that their Westminister parliamentary systems could hold elections where the mainstream center-left party (Labour in the UK, Australian Labour Party in AUS) could get more votes for its parliamentary candidates than the mainstream center-right party (Conservatives aka Tories in the UK, Liberal Party in Australia), but the leader of the Tories or Liberals becomes Prime Minister because his/her party wins more seats in Parliament.  That is because so many votes for the LP and ALP are clumped in in reliable LP or ALP districts, racial minorities, doctrinaire white liberals, and some others.  Use my St. Louis County example above, but assume it’s a Westminister setup instead of U.S. House seats.  Democrats get 61% of the total votes, but Todd Akin becomes Prime Minister.

The reason why the parliamentary setup isn’t the same as U.S. House elections, in spite of their superficial similarity, is that even though parliament seats are won or lost in districts (“electorates” in Australia, “constituencies” in the UK, “ridings” in Canada), the elections determine the head of state.  Therefore, they’re usually far more national than local, with the incumbent Prime Minister, the leader of the party with the current majority in Parliament, holding the fortunes of his own party’s candidates, and the opposition leader, leader of the party not in the majority, shepherding his party’s candidates.  The quality and esteem of the incumbent PM and/or the opposition leader does come into play in the minds of voters.  They know for sure that a vote for the opposition party will make the opposition leader the Head of State..  American House elections only can determine the Speaker of the House, third in the line of succession.  Unless there is a change in majority party in Congress, the Speaker will remain Speaker.  Even if there is a change in majority in the House (or Senate), there are sometimes battles on who gets to be the Speaker of the House or the Senate Majority Leader.

To justify spending 65 kilobucks to hire Duane West, aka “Duane D,” a well known motivational speaker who is often featured on the Maury Povich show, (oops, that was D.West I was thinking about, see below), an official for the Montclair, N.J. school system says:

The kinds of things that this kind of program D. West offers … include parent outreach, motivation, character education, leadership — all those things that play a role in achievement,” said Federico. “We try to support the whole child, because the statistics show that students perform due to a whole range of factors.”

Because D.West has such a great track record otherwise, they just have to hire a reasonable imitation thereof.  It’s amazing what you can accomplish on TV — You take stock teenage girl actors out of central casting, mess up their hair, dress them in trashy clothes, give them some makeup to appear like they just waltzed into the studio straight from strolling in the red light district all night, make them memorize a script which has them being fifty times worse than the wildest conceivable real world teenage miscreant, bring in a studio audience that loves to boo and sneer at the deficiencies of other people even though it’s a matter of pot kettle black for most of them, and hit record.  Then, after they’re through reading their script, in struts an overly muscular black man who evidently doesn’t own a sweater with sleeves nor any undershirts.  He screams at the “wild” girls, takes them on a tour of a TV set made to look like a jail, where more central casting actors made out to look like jail inmates also yell at them, and explain to the girls how they fucked up their own lives.  (How many real jail inmates have that much guilt and contrition?  Don’t forget, everyone in jail or prison is either innocent, or has been railroaded by the white racist justice system and/or had a crummy defense lawyer.)  Just before the credits roll at 59 past the hour, the “wild” girls have completely straightened out their lives.

It’s too bad that some real people with real taxpayers’ money fell for it.

I’m with you about some of these shows like Maury being fake.  I live close to Montclair, too.

Sometimes, I see people on Maury’s show say they did the most insane things, sometimes they’re crimes.  So where are the police, to arrest them right on the set when the show is over?  And the D.A. could use the show as evidence.  The cops and prosecutors don’t use this, so this tells me that it’s all fake.  I was kinda fooled about the wild teen shows, but I got the suspicion that they were fake because everything else on Maury is fake, why shouldn’t the wild teen girl shows also be fake?  What you said proves it for me.

By the way, there’s no woman on Earth who can’t find the father of her children after calling in dozens of men for a blood test.

Therefore, it’s just a big damned coincidence that probably 80% or more of the murders in Mayor Daley’s city are done at the hands of black men, because you can’t blame groups for crime.  Of course, bleeding heart libs love to tout stats that show that (e.g.) 80% of Chicago’s murder victims are black.  If you can’t “blame a group” for crime, then you can’t pity a group for being crime victims.

Got stuff to do 2nite, so I’ll have to summarize the news items that grabbed my attention 2day.  I’m so rushed, I can’t even properly spell out “tonight” and “today.”  :)

(1)  A 94-year old British war vet is going to return the five medals he earned to PM Gordon Brown because he was denied a heating assistance subsidy based on a technicality.  One of the bigger unmentionable scandals out of England in the past few years is the number of white elderly and retired people who have perished in their cold houses because heating costs have been so high, and that government fuel bill assistance has been hard to get.  All the while, the Blair/Brown governments shower non-whites with welfare money galore.

(2)  A terrorism official for Scotland Yard is worried about lone wolf right-wing terrorism.  While he doesn’t have much to be worried about in that regard, relative to the wonderful Muslims running around London, he is right to say that resources that should be used to chase Muslims are being diverted into the fight to snuff out the next mythical Hitler.  What I think he means by that is that Muslims are a Labour Party constituency, so they can’t be arrested.  Therefore, to justify their jobs, sinecures and salaries, government anti-terrorism officers have to focus on the rare incidents of terrorism committed by those who don’t vote Labour.

BTW, part of the reason why lone wolfism on the part of the right-wing that’s too extreme even for my tastes has come about in recent years is because they have to go “lone wolf.”  If they came up to the surface with any hint of central organization and location, then the UK’s numerous analogues to the Southern Poverty Law Center would sue them out of existence, just like the American SPLC has done in this country.  If right-wing terrorism worries you, then better that you should want it easier to find, then sundry hard-to-find “lone wolves.”  That was the unintended consequence of SPLC legal activity.

(3)  Don’t worry, Miss Barney.  As soon as Harrow’s “citizen snoopers” see that most of Harrow’s crime and non-crime ills are caused by racial minorities, that’ll be the end of the citizen snooper program.

(4)  Three memorable things about San Francisco’s Cow Palace:  (1) Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice, (2) Moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue, and (3) Gun shows draw big crowds, even in San Francisco.

(5)  I’ve had some dealings with people that are associated with “independent media centers,” a.k.a. “indymedia” websites, before.  What they really are are “anarchists,” i.e. left-wing extremist neo-Marxist college students who have no problem with committing organized acts of minor and moderate vandalism at the behest of one or more college professors, the goal of their political and other activity being the cheap and easy access to illicit drugs.  But even left-wing extremist neo-Marxist college students and the professors that egg them on have free speech rights, and the right not to be snooped upon by busybody Federal agents.

The irony of all this is that “indymedia” would have no problem if the U.S. Justice Department would similarly snoop on right-wingers.

(6)  David Coursey, a columnist at PC World, marks the 5-year anniversary of Mozilla Firefox 1.0 by predicting that Firefox won’t be as successful in the next five years.  He thinks the main reason will be that Google Chrome OS, mated with the Chrome browser, and Microsoft/Windows/IE will increasingly compete with each other using web-based “cloud” applications, application execution, and storage.  He also thinks that the paradigm of the browser as an application platform will help GOOG and MSFT, and squeeze Firefox out.  Though Coursey doesn’t mention Opera, he would probably think that Opera would suffer the same fate of irrelevancy as Firefox.

First off, I’ve been hearing this bullshit about browser-as-a-platform ever since 1995, with Netscape.  I get the feeling that if it could have been done by now, it would have.  That it has not means that it’s a stupid and impractical idea.  Browsers are designed to view documents in hypertext markup language, not word processing documents and spreadsheets.  There is a reason why desktop applications for those things are doing well.  Because they work, and you don’t have to be connected to the outside world to doodle around in Excel or type a memo in Word.  That’s the reason why I think the cloud is the same kind of bullshit pie-in-the-sky idea that browser-as-platform was all along:  With more and more ISPs putting up monthly bandwidth caps, cloud apps are going to be impossible for some people.  What if you have UNT&T’s basic DSL line, which has a piddley 5 GB monthly bandwidth cap?  Once you’ve used up your five gigs, then no more internet for the rest of the month.  That means if you can’t edit your sales report at home, because the word processing app is in the cloud, and you can’t get online.  If you have a desktop application for word processing, then you don’t need to get online.  A whole OS, like the upcoming Chrome OS, that is supposedly in the “cloud” means that your computer is a big glowing doorstop while your internet connection is down.

The main problem with the Chrome browser is that it’s still minimalist.  There’s not the neat ecosystem for add-ons like there are with Firefox.  I have exactly the Firefox extensions that I want/need to accomplish what I want to accomplish.  If I had to work with only Chrome, I’d feel naked and useless.  IE, by contrast, has Chrome’s problems of very few add-ons, but is also slow and clunky as a tortise.  I fail to see how slow ass IE or useless Chrome is somehow going to “squeeze out” Firefox.

(7)  Now that Missouri’s Blue Books are going online, Senate Majority Leader Kevin Engler (R-Farmington) wants to end the dead tree and ink BBs, to save a little money.  I don’t know what I think about that, but one thing that bugs me about the BBs is that they plaster the names, pix, identities, and worst of all, the home addresses if Missouri’s state level Supreme Court, Appellate Court and Circuit Court judges.  It used to publish the home street address of every state employee.

(8)  A black Architecture prof at Columbia punched a white woman employee of the U. in the face, in the heat of an argument about white privilege.  I predict Professor McIntyre will pioneer the field of architectural white privilege, finding secret, subliminal messages of hate and racism in pre-1950 building designs and engineering.  You know how that goes, if you play the record backwards at double speed, you hear Satanic dirges…
