Not Even a Year Old

9 07 2012

The country of South Sudan turns one year old today.

Yet, the country didn’t have a chance to turn one, and the South Sudanese were sneaking out of their brand spanking new country and into both the United States and Israel.

We read the words “crippling poverty, lack of infrastructure, tribal violence and corruption among its politicians” in a news story about a black African country.  Substitute “gang” for “tribal,” and you’ve just described many American inner cities to a tee.
