I suppose they’re anticipating a legislative override some time today. Both the House and Senate overrode Quinn’s veto this morning by more than two-thirds votes in both chambers.
But…no reciprocity for any state, at least not hard-wired into the legislation. It’s possible that in the future that Illinois might negotiate ad hoc reciprocity arrangements with other states. However, for those of you in Illinois that will get Illinois permits: Since Missouri hard-wires reciprocity with every other CCW state into our own CCW law, your Illinois permit will be good in Missouri. Which means you can pack and cross the river, but we can’t.
