Baylor fires Ken Starr, because he is said to have mishandled rape allegations that were made against black football players.
Which is a bit amusing to me, because we are told that all of the 50 trillion campus rapes per year that happen are the doings of Haven Monahan and evil white cishets that look like him. I happen to think that one of the secondary reasons why the paranoia about college rape culture is being pawned off on non-existent Haven Monahan style Emmanuel Goldstein figures is to distract us from the actual rapes on campus that are happening because black footzball and bouncyball playaz are doing the raping.
Back to Ken Starr, he’s also heaping praise on someone who was once his subject of investigation, calling Bill Clinton “the most gifted politician of the baby boom generation.”
That isn’t saying much, even if it is true.
But is it really that true? If he’s so gifted, then why wasn’t he able to maneuver on behalf of his wife to help her beat the mocha bean pole from Chicago in 2008, and why is she having trouble putting away Methuselah-of-Burlington this year? And his own two victories, while they were what they were, and you can’t take ’em away from him, were against George H.W. Bush and Bob Dole, in both instances, he had Perot to bleed votes away from his prime competition, even though I think Clinton still would have won in both years even sans Perot. And he needed the media to be totally on his side to help him slightly outfox Newt Gingrich in the 1995-96 time frame, and remember, it was as true then as it is now, when Newt is off his game, he can be a real wackadoodle. Even though Clinton supposedly won the budget wars with Newt, Newt got a hell of a lot more out of “losing” with what was ultimately agreed to than Boehner and Ryan are getting versus the much more lame Baraq Obama, because they didn’t even try. It’s like I have said, if any one of these two parties could walk and chew gum at the same time for a whole hour, they’d totally eviscerate the other.

The difference between them, as politicians, is staggering. After 9/11 she addressed a crowd of NYFD, and they booed the fuck out of her. And they stopped booing.

Keep in mind that not every instance is even reported to cops, and not every instance is legitimately investigated rather than deliberately bungled or squashed.
