Bloomin’ Onion

8 12 2016

That’s what it looks like, or, more accurately, it’s gonna look like, to me.

A bloomin’ onion made of glass.

Let me put it to you this way:  If they’re gonna ask a Dees/sf, then I don’t think there will be any Section 8 clients there.

Morris Dees is on the $3 bill.

OTOH, since it’ll be on West Pine and Kingshighway, it’ll only be a two block walk to Sheena Greitens’s place.  You might want to take a leisurely stroll and drop in on her, because I understand she’s often lonely and all by her lonesome.

Just don’t do it after dark.

That’s the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen.

The Gentle Grizzly

I agree. It’s ghastly.

Here’s what used to be there. Ironically, what ended its viability was one of the real buildings you see in this pic, and the Bloomin’ Onion here is ironically expected to compete with that building once it itself is opened.

We’re all supposed to be worried about affordable housing, in fact, Julian Castro was in town today preaching about it. I don’t read anywhere in here that any of these units will be set aside for affordable housing.

It’ll be the tallest building in the CWE. It’ll be 385, the CPP is 325, the main Barnes building tops out at 260.
