Back in 1996, the other pro team that plays in the edifice that the Raiders are about to depart ironically had to play a few games in Vegas to start the regular season, ironically, because that edifice was being renovated and enlarged because the Raiders just moved back to Oakland from Los Angeles the year before. Because the A’s want a new baseball stadium, something tells me that they’ll soon be the Las Vegas A’s. Or the Portland A’s. Or the Salt Lake City A’s.
If that happens, there will suddenly be a shitload of unused space in the Bay Area. Then they’ll have to figure out what to do with it. Cue pandemonium.
