I’m so old that I remember when openly right of center school board members and candidates openly took it to racial groups that were relevant to the school district they governed slash wanted to help govern. Yes, I’m referring to the SLPS neighborhood schools (anti-busing anti-deseg) slate from 1985 to 1993.
