There’s some political chatter afoot about adding Franklin County to the Bi-State Development Agency.  It would take both county taxpayers ponying up and Congressional legislation to add the county to what is that interstate pact.

What it would basically mean is nothing more than Franklin County being served by St. Louis’s public transit system.  The buses would go to Pacific, Gray Summit, Washington and Union.

If it happens, then it’s a long way away.

I happen to think it’s some sort of political skid greasing for a relatively distant future where Franklin County is used as the AFFH-style dumping ground for the ghetto undertow.
