I’m sorry I haven’t been able to write posts more often. It’s just that the job has kept me real busy, especially this month, and I guess there just hasn’t been that much news that grabs me enough to write posts here about it. I greatly enjoy what little down time I get these days, including tonight and all through tomorrow. I only hope I can create enough down time and free time come whenever it will be this summer to fly across the big drink to go see a certain blessed event.
I might have another real big step up the ladder at work in the coming new year, but the reality is that it’s probably going to be more like the next year, 2021, that it happens. I have already talked about it with our normal host, including details which I won’t be talking about here.
Merry Christmas and a happy new year, all you puppies.
We appreciate all that you do. Merry Christmas.

Life in Small Town America.
So, I went to the grocery store today. While I was there, some groid started talking to me like we were long lost buddies. I know a little jive, so I stood there and talked to him for few minutes. Never did figure out who he was. He sure seemed to know me, though. Must’ve gone to grade school with him.
I’m sitting on a bench waiting for my ride. A couple of squat monsters walk by, jabbering in Spanish. There goes the neighborhood.
Then, an old lady walks over to me. “Did you find the bread?” Huh? “Did you find the bread?” Oh yeah, I found it. Thanks. I wasn’t looking for any bread.
On the way out the door, I ran into this surly-looking Pajeet chick. Probably a Feminist.
A nigger, two spics, a catlady, and a streetshitter.
God bless America.
But Columbia values and honors diversity, or something like that, because right side of history.
Yes, we’ve made it back from Rome, all in one piece.
When I wrote that we were taking a train to Rome, I should have been more literal, by saying that it was five trains and two buses. Because that’s what it takes to get from Cologne to Rome. I had already experienced the four trains and two buses thing to go from Cologne to Milan back in May for Salvini’s big powwow, so all it was for me was adding another train. Yet and still, more than 15 hours on buses or trains, was tiring.
Which is why my future father-in-law had the foresight before we left to book plane tickets for today, namely this morning, so we could fly back from Rome to Frankfurt, then the high speed choo choo train from there to Cologne. Making the return trip a lot shorter. The only slight bummer is that it was cloudy over almost all of Switzerland, and almost the whole way, on the flight, so I only got to see very little of Switzerland from high above.
All in all, it was very much worth doing, the weather was perfect on the days that mattered, upper 50s and wall to wall sunshine all three days, and everything else was amazing. Except, of course, for Dope Francis’s address, though I wasn’t expecting anything from that. That said, I’m glad that this is the kind of bucket list item I only need to do once.
Because we were gone on Christmas itself, the new family will have a more traditional Christmas on Sunday, where I’ll meet her grandmothers for the first time. Such as it is, Germans stretch out celebrating Christmas until January 6.
You made me think of something, because you already told me what this career promotion either this year or next will be and mean for you.
Just as you’ve been on a real upward trajectory starting on the day that GENTILIVUS GIANTIVUS purloined his ultimate cigarillo, I realize that this decade, and in fact, stretching the point, a little longer, has been really wild for me, relative to what I had been used to. In fact, I’d place the inflection point at the start of Labor Day weekend in 2008.
I could have never foreseen the big things that happened either to me personally, or the big news events, and if me of today had a way to tell me of Labor Day 2008 what me of today would be doing, then the me of Labor Day 2008 would think that me of today was playing a 4D practical joke on me.
I’m going to write about that on Silvester (New Years’ Eve).
