I think Bloomberg himself leaked it.
He wants it out there, because he thinks, and I would agree, that it will be a big political boost for him.
Sure, BLM will rage, wokescold Twitter will rage, the media (save his own) will rage. He’ll have to weather that storm.
But there are two groups of people, that are pretty potent in Democrat Party Presidential politics for one reason or another, that will very much approve of the message, even if they can’t say it in public, in a silent majority sense:
(1) Urban white liberals
(2) Upper middle aged and elderly blacks
Let me put it to you another way:
“Michael Bloomberg thinks that it isn’t a good idea for young black men to have handguns.” Cui bono? Who is the most happy that those words are being constantly repeated? Even if it’s being said by people who are trashing him for having said it. (“Just as long as you spell my name right.”) And it’s not as if I would want the bad PR the same phrase being said of me, swapping out “isn’t” for “is.”

It just occurred to me that, if my hunch is correct, MICHAEL F’N BLOOMBERG is running to the right of Trump.
Also, the Blacks Are Criminals talk never killed either Clinton’s electability.
Especially among blacks. Remember, some of them still call him the first black President.
Strange. It killed Hindoo Dindu’s chances.
I guess they want Whitey to fix their problems.

I still think Bloomberg himself is the ultimate leaker.
Still, it shows how the media have declared war on Bernie. I now can’t help but feel a little sorry for the guy.
Maybe he should mensch up, and run under his true party,

Wearing the D hat only during and for Presidential elections is going to earn him lots of enemies and disrespect from that team.I’m glad to see you don’t underestimate him. After all, Mike Bloomberg is the guy who taught Trump how to win as a New York City billionaire, who had never before held office, over the imbecilic, “professional” pols.
Bloomberg even bribed his way to a third term. He knew (which I did not) that all veteran members of the NYC Räte (Soviet) had illegal slush funds, where they stash their bribe money. Thus, he paid them all bribes through said funds, and they returned the favor by voting to “permit” him to violate the term limits law that was so important to the same crooks, when it kept Rudy from running for a third term right after 9/11.
