Forget What?

Manhattan

The official news and public pronouncements in the ‘States today seem to be about not forgetting and something something twenty years ago. But it’s really vague beyond that.

Just what is it that we’re not supposed to forget?

Though all this vagueness suggests to cynical souls such as myself that the real problem they have is not our forgetting, but our remembering.

Now that I think about it, though, I think it was some aviation accident. Some people did something, according to Ilhan Omar. Followed by fears of Islamophobia and an Islamophobic backlash. But the thing had absolutely nothing to do with Islam, because analysts, experts and the State Department all told us so. All those people with graduate degrees in Islamic theology and studies from universities in the Islamic world were just a few fringe percentage radicals and extremists misinterpreting the Great Religion of Peace.

And you know what? I bet if someone actually went to work and did a real investigation, they’d discover that either the Ku Klux Klan or Donald Trump did it, whatever “it” is. It was once thought that such a real investigation would have implicated George W. Bush, but we know now that can’t be true, for he’s good virtuous people, with all his immigration-supporting paintings.

Speaking of immigration, at least whatever did happen twenty years ago today didn’t interfere with it in any way, which means that all important flow of restaurants was not abated one bit. INSH’ALLAH!

On the other hand, that war we declared against an abstract tactic sure cost a whole hell of a lot, trillions and trillions, over the last twenty years, and didn’t seem to do that much positive in the way of results or an effect.

No matter what, this will all blow over by Monday, and America will get back to the important critical news cycle: Black people having too much of this thing and not enough of that thing, and also Emmett Till.

I remember something from a Samuel Francis column a few months after 9-11. It was almost an aside, to paraphrase; “It is strange that the United States allows any immigration after what happened on 9-11.”

9/11 should have also been a political earthquake and a quick and instant one. That’s another reason why they want us to forget, not remember.

With the right leadership, it would have been. But we had Shrub, so instead of “close the gates and ship them back” we got “bee kind too muzlums and don’t stop shopping and oh btw let’s bomb saddam”

December 2000, i was surprised the courts ruled in his favor, and then last year thought that had established precedent for favorable rulings for Trump’s challenges. In hindsight, Shrub got judicial backing because he’s part of the globohomo ruling uniparty. And Trump’s not.

Predictably and obviously, much of the German official news coverage of the 20th anniversary of 9/11 is about Hamburg, where several of the 9/11 hijackers did a lot of the planning. First time I ever saw Hamburg with my own eyes, I figured out that it and they were made for each other.

I seem to recall niggers whining about 9/11 remembrances because it took the attention away from them.

I knew the news would treat today in their usual stupid way. I tried to avoid it as much as I could. But there were a few points today where I couldn’t avoid it. From what I saw, they were worshiping Obama, and making the day mostly about him. I can guess that the White House used Obama as the sub for Biden today, because they knew that Biden would get boos and jeers and grief.

Alright Dan

Alex the Goon, you mentioned “Shrub”. Did you see about that dud of a speech he gave in Pennsylvania today?

The one where he compared “domestic extremists” to Islamic terrorists?

The speech where he vilified pantifa, blm, and communist politicians who have fomented riots and torn down statues and monuments across the country? Not yet. It’s in my queue though.

I recall within a day the trope of “Saddam Hussein did it” was all over the Conservatism Inc magazines and sites. Rush Limbaugh spent hours on it.

A steady drumbeat began of “We will invade Iraq.” In my lifetime I never saw such eagerness for a war in the USA. It was the staple of every Conservatism Inc outlet, National Review, Weekly Standard, etc.:

“First we go to Afghanistan, then Iraq, then Syria, then Iran, then…”

It was generally agreed going to Afghanistan to find Bin Laden was a legitimate idea, but it morphed into permanent occupation for Women’s Liberation.

The Younger Bush’s neocon advisers didn’t have to push hard to get him to invade Iraq: “Saddam Hussein tried to kill my Daddy.”

Right on cue, it’s Monday, so we’re back to the important news.

The opiate prescription gap.

After this weekend, it is now plain as day that the American left is a cheap trick. To them, “Bush” was a cuss word for close to two decades. But all it took was for him to make an implicit swipe at Trump this weekend, and they’re suddenly in love with him. Principled liberals with integrity like Glenn Greenwald have to be pulling their hair out of their heads.

Though I should say that it was round about June 16, 2015 that Bush (43) started his rehabilitation process. What helped it along were his immigration-boosting paintings. So it didn’t just suddenly shift this weekend.

I was thinking that one might think that Bush was taking an implicit swipe at BLM, Antifa and the iconoclast militant street left. But any ambivalence about his target can now be laid to rest, with this paragraph:

But when Bush speaks for a hefty fee, the speech is often secret, per the terms of his speaking contract. I know from people who have attended these events that what you saw at Shanksville is the mild version of Bush’s attacks on conservatives. Those secret speeches are all about the need to amp up immigration, attacks on “nativists” who want to enforce immigration laws, and gripes about the purportedly Trump-driven degraded political discourse. His speech never mentions how the institutional left is spending hundreds of millions of dollars to degrade the political discourse.
