During both Mexican Presidential Election cycles in 2000 and 2006, candidates for Mexican President campaigned in the United States, as Mexican nationals here were legally allowed to vote in Mexican elections. In fact, if memory serves, one of the 2000 candidates kicked off his campaign for Mexican President in Los Angeles.
Now, a Dallas area pizza chain will start accepting the Mexican Peso as payment for goods and services. You will note that there is a “Ron Paul” mentioned in the article; it’s probably not the same Ron Paul.
