And because the surrounding areas are now new money suburbs, the increasing property taxes means that the few that are there won’t be there for much longer, even if they were not already up in age. I had no idea there was a historically black enclave in Chesterfield. I’m saddened there are no Irish people left in the “Patch” or really anyway to tell white people once lived in that neighborhood.
