Group of teens allegedly rob, beat 67-year-old man

St. Louis police are searching for three men accused of beating a 67-year-old man Wednesday afternoon.

Officers said a witness called police to report that three males, all believed to be teens between the ages of 14 and 18, approached the man in the 3700 block of Taft and punched him in the face around 4:00 p.m.

The suspects then fled on foot, east in the alley near the 3700 block of Dewey, after stealing the man’s wallet.

Police said the victim suffered lacerations and swelling to his face.  He was unable to provide more information because police say he was “dazed and confused” after the attack.

This is south of what was a few years ago the epicenter of Knockout Martin Luther King territory, and this particular incident certainly reads like KMLK.
