Ferguson

The U.S. government agreed to a police request to restrict more than 37 square miles of airspace surrounding Ferguson for 12 days in August for safety, but audio recordings show that local authorities privately acknowledged the purpose was to keep away news helicopters during violent street protests.
Followed by media outrage.
Remember, there are no contradictions. “Safety” and “keeping away news helicopters” during this time period were not contradictory goals. The reason the cops trying to secure the scene didn’t want the media overhead, or even on the ground, is that they figured out in short order what took me awhile to figure out: That after a certain amount of time, the whole hoopla and set of festivities, which would have died down on their own after three days, turned into a big damned social media reality show, sort of like Survivor: Ferguson. These were the first race riots in the era of internet social media and worldwide instant connectivity in one’s pocket.

Hippy dippy, but images are weapons. In many ways just as deadly as actual bullets. 50 or so died in LA in the riots there. Party as a result of a carefully edited video, party because of breathless footage of ooks eeking at Slants protecting their businesses.
No one has yet mentioned that the media helicopters would have made a prime target for the planet-of-the-apes’ ebonic marksmen.
Hypothetically : it snatches a handful of weaves, then a 20″ rim for the car … wipes smoke from burning Quickie Mart out of eyes … looks up …what dat b ??? pulls up hoodie … bang bang bang go da glock… zip …. mash … auto-gyros Bommarito SkyFox 2 into the Canfield rooftops.
Perhaps the no fly zone was the first miracle performed by Saint Micheal of Fergustan ?
